Happy Thanksgiving
It’s about that time now… This is one of the few times of year where we all get together and eat a ridiculous meal. There are not gifts, there is no agenda, it is just good food and family. Recently I noticed that Thanksgiving has been robbed of its due time. Retailers have merged Thanksgiving with Halloween and it is just a slew of random orange things being marketed to us consumers.
Christmas stuff now goes up right after Halloween. It feels like corporations think they can tell us when and what to celebrate. I don’t like that one bit. Wasn’t one of the things that made the holidays special the fact it is only a small part of the year? Maybe I am just an old fashioned person, but I will not be putting up my decorations until this weekend. Take that corporate agenda having retailers! I will not alter my behavior to suit your agendas.
